The focus of this project was a requirement analysis and forecasting as a base for improving the emergency service on the example of Mittelbaden. The goal was to find the factors which are affecting the requirements of emergencies and ambulance transports. Since emergencies are unexpected events, you need rules and procedures which allow reliable forecasts. Stastistical Methods has been significantly used to meet this challenge. Knowledge about past performances, the current challenges, the potential demand and additonal are necessary input parameters.
